Deep Cleaning in Al Ain

Deep cleaning is not a longer version of regular cleaning. It is a different job: everything moved, everything opened, and the accumulated build-up in the places nobody reaches weekly actually removed.

It is a one-off, and most properties need it a couple of times a year at most — before or after a tenancy, before an event, after building work, or when the ordinary routine has fallen behind.

What a deep clean covers

Beyond regular cleaning, a deep clean includes:

• Behind and under furniture and appliances — moved, cleaned, replaced
• Inside kitchen cabinets and drawers, emptied and wiped
• Oven, hob, extractor and fridge — interior and beneath
• Bathrooms in full — limescale removal, grout, sanitary ware, behind the WC, extract fans
• Skirting, door frames, architraves, switch plates and handles
• Light fittings and ceiling fans — where accessible
• AC grilles and accessible vents — see below
• Windows inside, tracks, sills and frames
• Wardrobe interiors — where emptied
• Floors — including edges, corners and under
• Balconies and accessible external areas

Why dust comes back so fast in Al Ain, and what actually helps

The most common complaint we hear after a clean is that surfaces are dusty again within two or three days. That is not a bad clean. In Al Ain it usually has two causes and only one of them is cleaning.

Airborne dust from outside. Al Ain is inland with open desert nearby, and sandstorms occur intermittently through the hotter months, at times reducing visibility to a few metres. Fine dust enters through doors, windows, gaps and failed seals. Improving door and window seals does more for household dust than cleaning more often. See door and seal maintenance.

Dust already inside the AC system. This is the one people miss. If your duct network holds a layer of accumulated dust, every time the AC starts it distributes some of it across the rooms you have just cleaned. If you are dusting twice a week and it makes no difference, the source is very likely the system rather than the surfaces. See AC duct cleaning.

We will tell you if we think that is what is happening in your property. Selling you a more frequent cleaning schedule to solve an AC problem would be easy and dishonest.

When to book one

• Moving out — condition on handover, and the difference between getting a deposit back and arguing about it
• Moving in — before your things arrive, when every surface is accessible
• After renovation or building work — though that is a different job, see post-construction cleaning
• Annually or twice yearly — a reset alongside regular cleaning
• Before or after an event, or before family arrive
• After illness in the household
• Property vacant for months — dust settles even in an empty house here

What to expect on the day

Practical points: clearing surfaces and emptying cupboards beforehand makes a large difference to what we can reach. Tell us in advance about anything delicate, and about anything you would rather we did not move.

What a deep clean will not fix

Damage is not dirt. Scratched worktops, damaged grout, stained sealant and worn flooring do not clean out. They need repair or replacement, and we can quote that separately.

Mould with a live moisture source returns. We can remove visible growth. If the cause is condensation, a leak or a failed AC drain, it comes back until that is fixed.

Long-standing limescale on damaged surfaces may have etched the finish permanently. We will tell you which is which.
